neurological consciousness

Following is a link to an interview on NPR with neurologist Antonio Damasio. It is about human consciousness. He is interested in the connection between the body and brain which he believed is formed in the brain stem and has much to do with feelings. He talks about time and the advantage of choice, etc.

  1. Very interesting talk. It was nice to hear him speak of philosophers with such high regard overall. He spoke of philosophers who get very far, but to a certain point and then have limited tools to test actual experiments out. Also interesting to hear him speak about philosophers merging their studies with neuroscience.
